As of today FIFA 22 includes four very special skins that will help raise the profile of childhood cancer and the work of the Juegaterapia Foundation. The footballers Luka Modrić, SaúlLuis Suárez, y Joaquín They "give their fans a pass" to score a goal against childhood cancer, each with their own personalised Hairy Ball, which has now become one of the skins available in the game.

Players from all over the world will be able to choose one of the four skins, the four Pelones Balls that these athletes presented a few months ago, and thus support the campaign to raise awareness against childhood cancer. Now this initiative is being publicised among the millions of video game fans thanks to the fact that it will form part of FIFA 22. In addition, the first 1,500 players who score a goal in FIFA 22 with one of these balls and share it on their social networks using the hashtag #BalónPelónFIFA22PS, will receive a physical copy in their homes. In addition, a PlayStation®5, donated by Sony Interactive Entertainment Spain, will be raffled among them.

Juegaterapia is dedicated to making children suffering from cancer happy and helping them get through their treatments in the best possible way, following its motto "chemo flies by while playing". The origin of the foundation and its main focus are video games. Every day it collects video game consoles that people no longer use and gives them to children undergoing chemo treatment in hospitals all over Spain. In this way, the children continue to be children, they laugh, play, enjoy themselves and this state of mind has a very positive effect on their recovery. FIFA, in particular, is the game that allows children with cancer to continue playing football, even when they are in a hospital bed.

About Juegaterapia

The Foundation

The Juegaterapia Foundation helps children with cancer through games. It collects game consoles that people no longer use and distributes them to paediatric oncology rooms in Spanish hospitals so that children can spend their chemo cycles playing and forget about their illness. In Spain, it has already delivered consoles to 76 hospitals and also to hospitals in Portugal, Morocco, Colombia, El Salvador, Afghanistan, India, Guinea and Guatemala.

Projects

El Jardín de mi Hospi is an initiative of Juegaterapia, a pioneer in Spain, which consists of recovering disused hospital rooftops and converting them into gardens so that all children in hospital can play outdoors. It has already built three: La Paz Hospital and 12 de Octubre Hospital in Madrid, and La Fe Hospital in Valencia. The fourth is already under construction at the Gregorio Marañón Hospital in Madrid.

The Baby Pelones

They wear a headscarf, with designs by ambassadors of the foundation such as Alejandro Sanz, Shakira, Richard Gere, David Bisbal and María and Jorge, two little fighters. 1,000,000 have already been sold in five years and the proceeds have enabled the opening of two biannual research grants of 100,000 euros at the CNIO against childhood cancer. They are available in Spain and Portugal at Juegettos, El Corte Inglés, Amazon, Toys R'Us; as well as Gocco, Drim in Spain; on some Iberia flights; La Giraffa and Rocco Giocattoli in Italy; and Sanborns in Mexico.

The Baby Pelones

The Baby Pelones are an original idea of Juegaterapia and are "the cutest dolls in the world" because they are inspired by the children fighting the disease.
